My academic journey has been marked by a constant search for knowledge in the area of management, in which I have sought to specialise and keep up to date. I have a bachelor's degree in Management (2001) and a master's degree in Management (2010), which I obtained from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), and a PhD in Management (2016) from the University of Beira Interior. My academic and scientific activities have essentially focused on different aspects of entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge management processes, particularly those related to innovation and social entrepreneurship, international entrepreneurship, gender issues and sustainability. These themes have been analysed both a qualitative and quantitative approach in order to explore the phenomena from different perspectives. At international level, I have participated in various international programmes, including my experience in several countries such as Slovenia, Albania, Algeria, Spain, Italy and Slovakia, among many others. These international research experiences have helped to enrich my knowledge and specialisation. I entered the academic world more than twenty years ago (2002), when I joined the School of Technology and Management, lecturing on creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship; general management and strategy. In recent years, I have also held a number of management positions at my institution (ESTG.IPP) and collaborated as a guest lecturer at UTAD. In 2008, I joined the Centre for Innovation and Research in Business Sciences and Information Systems (CIICESI). My professional background has been characterised by a continuous commitment to education, research, leadership and international collaboration. Since completing my PhD, my scientific career has been characterised by the publication of more than twenty articles indexed in renowned databases such as WoS (Web of Science) or SCOPUS, among other articles and book chapters, participation in various international conferences and supervision of master's and doctoral dissertations. In recent years, I have taken on leadership roles, currently as Director of the Business Sciences Course, Vice-Director of the Master's Degree in Industrial Management and Decision and Vice-Director of the Business Sciences Department at the Higher Institute of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (ESTG-IPP).
