EmpowerED - Engaging Students for Sustainable Development and Green Transition

Among the main objectives of the project are the incorporation of circular economy concepts into academic curricula, the development of an e-learning platform focused on training in digital and green skills, and strengthening the employability of young people in sectors related to sustainability. In addition, EmpowerED aims to foster collaboration between academia, industry, and society, promoting sustainable innovations and disseminating good environmental practices to raise community awareness of the challenges of climate change. The project methodology includes a series of strategic activities. These actions include the creation of interdisciplinary curricula aligned with the principles of the circular economy, teacher training, and the development of open educational resources. In addition, partnerships with industry will be established to offer internships and encourage applied research. The project also plans to organize workshops, public awareness campaigns, and community events to reach a wider audience. Expected results include the integration of sustainable practices into educational programs, the creation of accessible digital resources for sustainability training, and increased employability of participants in green sectors. The impact of EmpowerED will be significant for the objectives of the European Green Deal and the Sustainable Development Goals.
