INTEGRATED RESEARCHER
My academic background is in the field of Civil Law and Labour Law. I completed my PhD in Law (Civil Law) in 2021 at the University of Vigo, obtained a Specialist Degree in Law (Civil Law) at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, a Master's Degree in Legal and Private Sciences in 2005 at the Portuguese Catholic University (Oporto Regional Council) and a Law Degree in 1999 at the Portuguese Catholic University (Oporto Regional Council). I joined the School of Technology and Management in 2008, Department of Legal and Social Sciences, where I dedicated on academia and research on Civil Law. During my academic and scientific career, I have focused on different aspects of civil law, namely those related to introduction to law, law of obligations, general theory of civil law, fundamental notions of law, contracts. These themes allow me to take a multidisciplinary and integrative approach in teaching the basis of civil law and law in general. Over the years I have been accumulating several administrative management positions within the academia. Currently I have a position as Vice-President of the Pedagogical Council, Vice-Director of the Master's Degree in Legal Pratice and Member of the Committee Responsible for Complementary Training in the Department of Legal and Social Sciences of the School of Technology and Management. As well as teaching on various bachelor's and master's programmes in legal sciences and business, I am also a researcher of the Centre for Research and Innovation in Business Sciences and Information Systems (CIICESI). I have contributed to the scientific community in many ways: Master's thesis supervisor; co-organization of conferences and open classes; scientific production (two books, papers published in international and national scientific journals, presentations at international scientific conferences); Erasmus mobility across Europe; Peer Review Activities; Member of juries for public defense examinations for the advanced project to obtain a master's degree in Legal Pratice; Extracurricular Internship Guidance. In my Ciencia Vitae CV, the most frequent terms used to contextualise my scientific production are: Civil Law, namely, Civil Liability, and Labour Law.
