Anna Luiza Souza Vieira Santos

Anna Luiza Souza Vieira Santos is a research fellow at CIICESI — Center for Innovation and Research in Business Sciences and Information Systems at the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic of Porto. Her research interests are in Waste Management in Electric Vehicles, with a main focus on lithium-ion batteries.
She is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Production and Systems Engineering at the University of Minho. She holds a Master's degree in Project Management from the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (ESTG-IPP) and is a Mining Engineer graduated from the University of Minas Gerais (UEMG), Brazil.
Professionally, she worked on implementing a quarry, applying her expertise in mining, project management, and sustainable resource management. In addition, she spent a year and a half in England, where she improved her knowledge of the English language and obtained a Higher Education in Geology diploma from the University of Derby.
Throughout her academic and professional career, she has built a solid career in the mineral sector, evolving from extraction to sustainability and efficient resource management.
She has participated in several international conferences, both as a presenter of studies and as an event organizer. In addition, she has one published article and others in the process of being published.
Her experience also includes participation as a mentor, as well as involvement in a Colloquium on improvement promoted by the University of Lincoln.
