Lincoln Innovation and Entrepreneurship Colloquium - LEIC 2024
LEIC 2024 took place on the 9th and 10th of May, organized by the Lincoln International Business School at the University of Lincoln. The colloquium is aimed for management and organisation doctoral students and early career researchers in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation interested in systematic and bibliometric approaches for literature reviews, qualitative, quantitative and mixed methodologies.
Participation enables researchers to receive individual mentoring and advice for the successful publication of their research, as each participant is associated with a senior academic, active editor or associate editor of an internationally recognised journal.
For Anna Santos, PhD Research Fellow, within the scope of CIICESI Project UIDP/04728/2020, with financial support from FCT/MCTES through national funds (PIDDAC), participation in LEIC 2024 "was such a great opportunity for my PhD career because I received valuable insights into better thesis and article writing from the point of view of editors from reputable journals and also, how to build a relevant and meaningful academic career just not for myself but also with the great contribution to the society where I live. At the event, I was able to network by meeting interesting people from Asia, Asia and Europe who shared fascinating experiences. In addition, I was able to get to know other fields of research that allowed me to "think outside the box". The organization team was brilliant, they received us with a warm welcome and urged us to question all the time so that we could absorb as much knowledge as possible. I’m thankful to the CIICESI, and the ESTG for supporting me and for Prof. Wellington Alves who introduced me to this opportunity."
