Jorge de Mello Research Grant - Industry and Innovation

the grant aims to stimulate the development of research projects with high scientific merit in a business context and with the potential to create economic value.

Developing the competitiveness of the Portuguese economy will require a significant increase in the number of companies capable of using technological and industrial innovation to make processes more efficient, improve the technological and environmental performance of products and, consequently, increase productivity and create higher value jobs.

To this end, the Jorge de Mello Scholarship will support scientific entrepreneurship within the scope of research projects that address major industrial challenges and contribute to the competitiveness of companies, their internationalisation and sustainability.

Candidate projects must be carried out by researchers in Portugal.
