Integrated researchers from CIICESI awarded at International Conference
Carina Silva, Telma Mendes, and Marisa Ferreira, integrated researchers at CIICESI, and Tatiana Faria, alumni from ESTG, were awarded the prize for the best paper presented at the 13th International Scientific Conference - Region, Entrepreneurship, Development (RED) – whose proceedings are indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database.
The RED-2024 International Conference took place at the beginning of June in the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, Croatia. The conference works in a hybrid model and it was organized in collaboration with the University of Maribor, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Tuzla, Faculty of Economics in Tuzla, and the Business School of the University of Pforzheim.
The integrated researchers from CIICESI and the ESTG alumni, participated with their scientific paper entitled “The extra" sparkle in higher education institutions: Exploring staff perceptions towards corporate volunteering”. The presented paper, which earned the distinction, explores how intraorganizational support from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) moderates the relationship between both motivations and barriers to volunteering with the personal/impersonal outcomes of participating in these activities. With this paper, the researchers aimed to better understand both motivations and barriers to volunteering, as well as how intraorganizational conditions (dis)encourage participation in volunteering.
Congratulations to our researchers for the work done!
