PEGADAS Project

PEGADAS is an innovative project centered on Outdoor Learning, designed for young people who struggle to complete formal courses. It is part of the Interreg-Poctep program and seeks to provide individuals aged 18 to 29 with transformative experiences along the Camino de Santiago, focusing on enhancing their employability. Based on a training itinerary that integrates entrepreneurship, digitalization, and sustainability, PEGADAS offers training before each route and features local activities during the trip that enable young people to explore the culture of the Camino. At the end of each expedition, participants will create a short film that reflects their learning and highlights this historic route.
ESTG is participating in the PEGADAS project alongside the University of Santiago de Compostela, the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, Femxa, CIM Alto Minho, and the Clúster da Comunicación de Galicia.
This project aims to create a social and inclusive Europe by applying the European Pillar of Social Rights to promote equal access to inclusive and quality services in education, training, and lifelong learning. This will be achieved through the development of accessible infrastructures, including the enhancement of resilience in online and distance education and training. Collaboration between the two countries emphasizes the significance of a united effort to address global environmental challenges, utilizing the exchange of experiences as a crucial component for success.
PEGADAS, therefore, focuses on showing young people new ways to confront future challenges. The project aims to demonstrate that these challenges should not be viewed as obstacles but as opportunities for growth and empowerment, encouraging young individuals to nurture learning, sharing, and the discovery of a different future. PEGADAS highlights the significance of changes that can be made today to transform the world of tomorrow, fostering a more sustainable and innovative future.
