Description:
P.PORTO's ESTG, in co-promotion with IPQ, intends to develop a project aimed at integrating and disseminating good practices developed in an innovation laboratory in the area of QMS, using new solutions aligned with the new paradigms of digital transformation, where these include automation, dematerialization and integration systems through technological solutions, namely Business Process Management, Document Management, among others.
The training project aims to create an innovation laboratory that integrates a new ecosystem of shared knowledge between leading public institutions, such as the Portuguese Quality Institute (IPQ) and P.PORTO, through its academic community, with external technology and management entities form the private sector to create a new knowledge base.
Considering that QMS processes have a strong administrative character, it is important to work on three areas of digital transformation in this context:
- Process automation, which aims to increase the productivity of organizations and their employees in particular by automating a set of activities defined for a process, based on data and business rules. This way, in addition to reducing the process cycle time, human error is also eliminated;
- Dematerialization of processes, aims at the adoption of technological platforms at the expense of physical means such as paper, allowing the processing of the entire process in electronic format. Thus the acts will be practiced on a more accessible online platform, increasing security, speed and eliminating the consumption of media. On the other hand, further information structuring will allow more and better management mechanisms to be implemented;
- Interoperability of information, given the proliferation of applications, communication between these is today a crucial factor for the duplication of processes and information.
