Description:

The Observatory aims to produce information and prospective studies, based on relevant indicators for the Region and the informed decision-making of its economic and social agents. It is intended to contribute to the promotion of regional sustainable development through a knowledge-based economy.

1. Mission

   To monitor the direct and indirect impact of the strategies implemented within the scope of the Tâmega e Sousa Economic and Social Office, promoting the adjustment or redefinition of strategies given the objectives of sustainable development through a knowledge-based economy.

2. Objectives

   2.1. Disseminate information based on Regional indicators about the different areas with an impact on the Economic and Social development

   2.2. Develop prospective studies, in a sectoral logic to identify the threats and opportunities of each sector.

   2.3 Bring together firms and researchers with similar interests (within the Observatory's areas of intervention).

   2.4 Create an information system to support political, business and academic decision-makers.

3. Intervention Areas
